Answer – Netscape went public
Netscape went public on the 9th of August 1995. In
describing this event, Friedman called it “the beginning of the dot com boom
and bust”. When Netscape went public, it gave us the internet and internet
browser, and commercialized open transition for internet so no company could
dominate.
