Problem page the sum of two numbers is 47 . the larger number is 17 more than the smaller number. what are the numbers?

Smaller number = X
Larger Number = X + 17

47 = X + (X+17)
47 = 2x + 17
47 - 17 = 2x
30 = 2x
X = 15
