2 times (x)= 2x + 6 = 18 (equation) Then you multiply the 2 • 6 = (12) then subtract the 18-12 and you get 6 then you go back to the 2x and think what would (x) have to be for me to get the answer (6) then you think 2x3 = 6 then you get your answer of (3)
