Work done by climber = 8 J

Force applied on object = 2 N

Distance = ?

Recall that work is done when force is applied on an object over a distance.

i.e Workdone = Force x distance

8J = 2N x distance

distance = 8J/2N

distance = 4m

Thus, the object is lifted by a distance of 4 metres
