Why is Siberia much colder than Western Russia?

Western Russia is part of the climate zone that covers Europe, and because of that it tends to get warm winds from the Mediterranean and Africa during the summers. Siberia is far away from that so that's why Siberia is so cold.

because Ocean winds cannot reach Siberia.
